Dr Ziagaki is the Head of the Centre of Excellence for Rare Metabolic Diseases at the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolic Disorders at the Charité University Hospital Berlin, Germany. She obtained her medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2008 and undertook her specialist training at the University Hospital of Leipzig as well as at the University Hospital of Heidelberg. She obtained her medical license with a certification in Internal Medicine (2018). She is now to complete her medical training and speciality in Endocrinology at the Charité University Hospital Berlin. Since 2016 she has also been caring for adult patients with inborn errors of metabolism. Her areas of interest are amino and organic acids-related disorders and lysosomal storage diseases.
Dr. Ziagaki is member of many scientific societies and is one of the coordinators of the Work-package 4: Guidelines & Care pathways and transition.
