Joanna Taybert

Joanna Taybert, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw is a paediatrician, specialist in paediatric metabolic medicine, who for over 20 years has been taking care of the patients with inborn errors of metabolism.

She is a graduate of the Warsaw Medical University. In 2007 she defended her doctorate on “Long-term outcome of treatment of children with hepatic types of glycogen storage diseases”. She worked in the Children’s Memorial Health Institute and since 2014 she is a Deputy of the Head of the Department of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and Paediatrics in the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw. She is also the Regional Consultant in the field of paediatric metabolic medicine.

She conducts many trainings, gives lectures, and educates patients and families with inborn errors of metabolism.

She is an author of the scientific and popular science papers, with a current H index is 8.
