Ivailo Tournev

Ivailo is the head of the Neurology Line at Alexandrovska Hospital and a leading specialist in treating rare diseases in Bulgaria and abroad. Since 2006 Ivailo has been a professor at the Department of Neurology at the Medical University of Sofia and the Department of Cognitive Science and Psychology at NBU since 2008. In 2016 he also created and managed the first Expert Center for Hereditary Neurological and Metabolic Diseases. Prof. Ivailo Tournev is chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Neuromuscular Diseases. He is a member of the Bulgarian and World Neuromuscular Diseases Association and the Rare Diseases Commission of the Ministry of Health.
