RESEARCH INTERESTS:
From October 1978 to February 1979 he worked as “Visiting Physician” at the Division of Medical Genetics, Dpt of Pediatrics at the University of St. Francisco, St. Francisco, California, U.S.A. headed by Dr. Charles Epstein, where he worked as clinician at the Genetic Ward.
From April 1981 to January 1983 he worked as “Research Associate” at the Division of Medical Genetics, Dpt of Pediatrics at the Washington University in St. Louis, U.S.A. headed by Dr. William Sly, where he did a research projects aimed first o understand of biochemical bases of the galactosialidosis and then of the pathway of transportation of lysosomal enzymes at the cellular level.
