Verona Health Care Provider, has focused, in the last decades, its effort to diagnose, follow up and now treate, children and adults affected with inherited metabolic disorders, especially lysosomal storage disorders.
Recently the Regional Expanded Newborn Screening Program choose Verona as Referral Centre for diagnosis and treatment of Aminoacid Disorders, Urea Cycle Disorders and Organic Acidurias.
The GIMME (Interdisciplinary Group for Inherited Metabolic Disorders) allows a multidisciplinary approach to children and adults affected with such diseases: adult and child physicians monthly join together and share their knowledge and experiences.
