The European Commission in cooperation with ECORYS has launched the ERN Exchange Programme designed to share knowledge and stimulate collaboration between healthcare professionals in the European Reference Networks (ERNs). The ERN Exchange Programme aims at harmonising specific knowledge within the ERNs and reducing gaps in expertise.
The programme, which has suffered delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is now taking off.
There are different possibilities for exchanges addressed to clinicians and other healthcare professionals. Therefore, interested applicants are required to meet the goals of the ERN with the exchange. Both the visitors and the hosts need to be members of the MetabERN member centres or Affiliated Partner institutions.
Since the number of exchanges is limited, the coordinator of the ERN needs to approve the exchange applications. During each exchange, one or more professionals will be able to travel to another hosting centre. However, it is important for the hosting centre to make sure that there is a clear ‘visit plan’ for the professionals who will visit the centre.
Please, consider being part of this great opportunity of knowledge sharing becoming a visiting expert, trainee or hosting institution in this exchange programme.
If you are interested in becoming a visiting expert, or hosting institution in this exchange programme fill in this form or send an email to the Coordination Office.
