Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – Early Diagnosis Training Opportunity
TREAT-NMD is a rare disease global network and a world leader in delivering training programmes to support rare disease stakeholder groups.
TREAT-NMD is in the process of organising its first DMD Early Diagnosis Seminar. The seminar will be delivered live online, is free of charge and is aimed at paediatricians and healthcare professionals who are the first point of contact for healthcare of babies and young children, so that the signs and symptoms of Duchenne can be identified in young boys at the earliest stage, which will in turn improve care and outcomes for these patients.
The free DMD Early Diagnosis Training Seminar, lasts 2.5 hrs and will be delivered live online by clinicians who are experts in the field of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (CME credits may be available). The seminar features lectures, breakout sessions and discussion groups as well as interactive quizzes.
The programme is currently under development and expected in Spring 2022. TREAT-NMD would like to survey a sample of the target audience to assess the interest in this type of education and training before opening applications.
