Simona Tárnoková obtained her degree in medicine at the Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia and postgradual degree in clinical biochemistry at the Slovak Medical University of Bratislava. She is working in the Department of Laboratory medicine which is part of the Center for inherited metabolic disorders – CIMD Slovakia, National Institute of Children’s Diseases and Comenius University, Faculty of Medicine. Her main responsibilities are diagnostic and evaluation activity, expert conclusions and recommendations in the diagnostic and monitoring process of inherited metabolic disorders (IMD) (national scope), IMD consulting activities (nationwide scope), medical validation of routine biochemical examinations, indication and interpretation of special biochemical-genetic investigation, cooperation in the implementation of special biochemical methods. She is member of the Slovak Medical Association – Division of Inherited Metabolic Disorders.
