Simon Bond

Simon Bond has a diploma in coaching and exercise science from ETA (South Africa) and is studying for a bachelor’s degree in European Public Health (EPH) at Maastricht University (the Netherlands).

Simon relocated from South Africa to Italy and then the Netherlands to pursue a career in European Public Health. In 2020, he held the Head of External Affairs position and currently holds the role of Treasurer for the EUnitas (the study association of EPH). He speaks English at a native level and has a basic understanding of Italian.

Simon has been involved in MetabERN from its inception in 2017 and, as of 2019, is the patient board, project manager. Along with the steering committee, he is involved in facilitating the functioning of the network’s patient board.
