Mojca Zerjav Tansek

Mojca Zerjav Tansek has graduated and finished PhD study at Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She completed her residency in pediatrics at University Medical Centre Ljubljana. She has started the clinical work at University Children’s Hospital with the patients diagnosed with inborn errors of metabolism. Additional experiences in clinical work and research she has obtained at Haukeland Hospital, Bergen, Norway. The continuous yearly participations at EACCME trainings and experiences from national and international research projects are the bases for the professional publications. She is Assistant Professor and lecturer at Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ljubljana and at University of Primorska, Slovenia.
She is a member of Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism and representative in an Expert Group on Rare diseases at Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia.
The professional focuses are rare diseases, mainly inborn errors of metabolism. She is participating at the creation and implementation of National Strategy for Rare Diseases in Slovenia regarding the EU directive on management of rare diseases.
