Dr. Mirian Janssen earned her medical degree and doctorate and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Nijmegen. She specialized in adult metabolic diseases. Dr Janssen is the head of the clinical metabolic department of the Radboudumc.

She has extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases, in particular mitochondrial diseases, glycosylation disorders and cystinosis. Dr Janssen is involved in natural history studies and several clinical trials for patients with mitochondrial diseases.
