Laura Paneghetti holds an MSc in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Trieste (Italy) and a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from University College London (UK). She also earned a Master in Science Communication from the University of Padova (Italy).
After a short experience as a research associate in the field of vascular biology at UCL’s Institute of Ophthalmology (London, UK), she became a medical and proposal writer, working as communication manager for a biotech company specialized in diagnostic medical devices, and then as a freelance. She has collaborated with leading medical communication agencies on different types of projects (educational kits, leaflets for patients, meeting reports, papers for peer-reviewed journals, infographics) and she has worked on several health-related proposals submitted within the H2020 and EJP RD framework.
Dr. Paneghetti joined MetabERN in 2020; she is involved in the preparation of scientific publications and proposals, and she is also involved in the development of the network’s educational programme and other training activities.
