Bernardo got his PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Sheffield (UK). He then moved to the USA where he developed animal models for Usher Syndrome and rare diseases at the University of Oregon with the aim to understand what goes awry at the mechanistic level and to use for pharmacological drug screenings.
Bernardo actually works as a clinical manager at the Center.
