Alessandro Rossi

Alessandro Rossi is Junior Researcher/Assistant Professor at the Department of Translational Medicine at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy and metabolic pediatrician at “Federico II” University Hospital in Naples, Italy.
In 2022 he earned his PhD at University of Groningen (The Netherlands). He is member of the Italian Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases and Newborn Screening (SIMMESN), member of the Emerging Researchers Board of Ketotic Hypoglycemia International and member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Glycogen Storage Disease Association (AIGlico). He is involved both in clinical care and clinical research for people with inherited metabolic diseases (IMDs). His major research interests are developing novel monitoring and management strategies for people with IMDs, and specifically liver glycogen storage diseases.
He has participated in multiple (inter-)national conferences as an invited speaker and has received several grants for research on glycogen storage diseases. He is involved as a clinical investigator in several clinical trials on IMDs.
