Vision of the organization: We are an association of families who represent the Spanish-speaking Glut1 Community, with the aim of promoting and disseminating among hospitals, research centers, therapists, affected and family members, how to diagnose, treat and find a cure for the disease GLUT1 DEFICIT.
GLUT1 deficit is a genetic disorder that affects the metabolism of the brain: the only treatment so far is ketogenic therapy and early diagnosis can change the lives of children who suffer from it.
