Online Workshop: The Extended Neonatal Screening (ENS): Multidisciplinary Approach and Psychological Support to the Family
The Mariani Foundation Centre for Hereditary Metabolic Diseases of Childhood in Monza (Italy) is organizing the workshop “The Extended Neonatal Screening (ENS): Multidisciplinary Approach and Psychological Support to the Family” which will be held online on 8 April and on 15 April 2024.
The Workshop aims:
- to offer clinical information on the different groups of metabolic diseases
- to present the various possibilities of medical and dietary treatment under healthy conditions
- to illustrate the multidisciplinary approach and psychological support for the family in the management of recall and communication of the diagnosis, parental support, and support for breastfeeding/weaning.
The Workshop will be conducted in Italian and receive accreditation for the CME credits recognized by the Italian authorities. It is mainly addressed to doctors, nurses, pediatric nurses, dietitians, psychologists, psychotherapists, biologists, professional educators, obstetricians, biomedical laboratory technicians, physiotherapists, and neuro and psychomotricity therapists.
The event is endorsed by MetabERN and by the Italian Society for the Study of Hereditary Metabolic Diseases and Newborn Screening (SIMMESN) and organised in collaboration with the IRCCS San Gerardo dei Tintori Foundation of Monza and the Lombardy Region Social and Health Service.
