Medical Executive Board Meeting
The MetabERN Medical Executive Board (MEB) met on the 6th of June in Brussels with representatives of the Subnetworks, Work Packages and the Patient Board as well as the Coordinator and Vice-Coordinators. The MEB is the body within MetabERN that is responsible for the overall policy and strategic direction of the network whilst overseeing its activities and progress and setting priorities for the coming years. The MEB also works closely with the Board of Healthcare Providers to ensure any decisions made are implemented fully and subsequently promoted to ensure maximum effectiveness. The MEB is also responsible for the potential future establishment of contacts with third parties, industry, regulatory agencies and the development of a viable sustainability strategy for the network. The aims for the coming year are to define strategies and actions to concretize the implementation of the 3-5 year plan, to identify priorities and goals to achieve in order to show the effectiveness of MetabERN to the Member States and to identify strategies to sustain MetabERN in the long term. The MEB will meet twice a year in a face-to-face meeting and reports will be made available on the website.
