The Ramón y Cajal University Hospital is a public institution under the Ministry of Health of the Community of Madrid and integrated into the Madrid Health Service. Since its inception in 1977, it has sought to provide users with efficient and high-quality service. This healthcare center cultivates the three facets of a hospital of its category: clinical care, teaching, and research.
Since its inauguration in October 1977, it has had a Research Department composed of the Services of Bioelectromagnetism, Histology, Biochemistry, and Neurobiology. Its research production in both basic and applied biomedicine has earned it national and international recognition. The Ramón y Cajal University Hospital is recognized as a center of reference and excellence in healthcare, a recognition that extends to both its clinical care and its teaching and research activities.
