The Virgen del Rocío University Hospital, founded in 1955, is currently one of the largest in the country, with over 1,500 hospital beds and nearly 10,000 healthcare, administrative, and service professionals. In addition to providing general healthcare, it offers 24 accredited Centers, Services, and Reference Units (CSURs) to which patients from all over Spain can be referred for specialized care.

It also has 30 units and nearly 700 certified specialists. Professionals at Virgen del Rocío are considered experts at both the regional and national levels for the care of complex health problems, which is why they also collaborate in 10 European Reference Networks (ERN). All of this is done to provide citizens with quality healthcare that is more personalized and humane.
