The 13th European Conference on Rare Disease and Orphan Products (ECRD 2026) will take place in Prague and online on 3 and 4 June 2026.
ECRD is the largest, patient-led policy-shaping conference for rare diseases in Europe. The event serves as an instrumental tool for advancing policy objectives that improve the lives of people living with a rare disease. The ECRD 2026 is titled “Rare Diseases in a Changing & Competitive Europe: Shaping policies to address the unmet needs of people living with rare diseases”.
The event will bring together stakeholders to assess progress and support a community-led effort to co-develop an EU Action Plan — or Strategic Framework — for Rare Diseases.
Poster abstract submissions for the ECRD 2026 are now open until 6 March 2026. Patient groups, academics, healthcare professionals, and all other interested parties who have conducted research or studies on rare diseases or public health projects are encouraged to submit a poster abstract. The submission form, as well as detailed information about guidelines and criteria, can be found at the dedicated page of the ECRD website.
