As MetabERN aims to promote prevention, accelerate diagnosis and improve standards of care across Europe for patients living with Inherited Metabolic Disorders, MetabERN considers the correct laboratory diagnosis as a key factor for successful management of patients. A formal collaboration with ERNDIM, a non-profit External Quality Assurance provider, has been established to ensure the best quality of laboratory services among MetabERN members.
To maintain the high level of confidence in the diagnostic laboratories specialised in Inborn Errors of Metabolism, the ERNDIM circulates diagnostic samples obtained from real patients. They are always struggling to receive sufficient amounts of urine, the situation with blood collection is even worse. Please if you can, answer this plea for samples and spread the plea amongst your colleagues.
