We are excited to announce the launch of the “Brain Metabolism Dialogues“, a new series of webinars aimed at bridging the gap between clinical neurology and basic scientific research in brain metabolism. This initiative is a collaboration between MetabERN and the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (SSIEM).
These sessions will focus on rare diseases that lead to neurological dysfunction, highlighting the fundamental metabolic mechanisms underlying both classical inborn errors of metabolism and other neurogenetic conditions. Through interactive discussions and case-based learning, expert clinicians and basic scientists will work together to enhance our understanding of disease mechanisms, share insights from both research and clinical practice, and generate new ideas to improve patient care.

The first webinar of the series, titled “Introduction to The Brain Metabolism Dialogues,” will take place on March 10, 2025, at 17:00 CET. This inaugural session will introduce the key themes of the series and highlight the importance of an integrated approach to studying brain metabolism in neurological disorders.
