Dries Dobbelaere
The SFEIM (Société Française des Erreurs Innées du Métabolisme) and corresponding member of the SSIEM (Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Inherited Metabolic Diseases). The centre is active not only as member but as an educational institution at the scientific committee of the French Inter University postgraduate programmes for Inherited Metabolic Diseases (DIU des Maladies Héréditaires du Métabolisme). He participates at the scientific committee of various family associations and at many national working groups on metabolic diseases (PNDS: Protocole National de Diagnostic et de Soins). Dr. Dobbelaere is a member of the local university research committee. He is also co-founder and member of the steering committee of the E-IMD (European registry and network for Intoxication type Metabolic Diseases – DG SANCO European Call) www.e-imd.org., and a member of the E-HOD(European registry and network for homocystinuria and methylation disorders) www.e-hod.org. He is also involved in the national networks for rare diseases (PNMR) which have been set up to enable coordination between the national IMD centres with the aim to improve innovation, efficiency and sustainability of services for IMD patients in France.
