Second Italian National Meeting on Rare Inherited Metabolic Diseases in Adults

The second Italian national meeting on Inherited Metabolic Diseases in adulthood will take place on 19 January 2024 in Florence. The meeting is organized by the SIMMESN’s Working Group on adult patients in collaboration with MetabERN and has been endorsed by the Region of Tuscany.

The meeting aims to address challenges in diagnosing and managing adult patients affected by Inherited Metabolic Diseases. Additionally, the event will promote training activities and facilitate the interaction between adult metabolic specialists, exploring topics such as the management of acute metabolic decompensation.

This training event is intended primarily for younger professionals, who will increasingly have to manage adult patients with Hereditary Metabolic Diseases in the upcoming years.
