Past Event

The 49th Annual Conference of the European Metabolic group (EMG) took place in Zagreb, Croatia May 25-27, 2017.

The main topic of the conference was “The Power of Vitamins”.
The precise functions of vitaminswere extensively discussed and the conference threw new light on the role of vitamins in the area of inherited metabolic disorders.

In addition, translational metabolism as a multi-disciplinary approach in the omics era was excellently addressed by prof. Wanders from Amsterdam. Free communications gave space for young researches and extended the conference topic beyond the field of vitamins.

Participants vividly shared their experience during workshops dealing with new treatment strategies for LSD, nutritional management in GSD I, metabolic workup in intermittent rhabomyolysis and propionic aciduria: the impact of guidelines on treatment.
